Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga
Ashtau = Eight Anga = Limbs Yoga = Union
The essence of this dynamic practice is the Ujjayi Breath, when this unique breath is synchronised with movement, known as a “vinyasa”, it creates a rhythm that allows one to transition from one place to the next and flow from one posture to the next throughout the whole practice using classical yoga postures in a sequential flow. Over time it becomes a beautiful meditative moving practice as you ride on the wave of the breath & movement arriving into “stillness”
In this course you will be introduced to the Fundamental Foundations and
Openings of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga then moving forward step by step. The pace will be a little slower in the beginning learning posture by posture to enable you to commit the sequence of postures to memory, to develop a self-practice through repetition. The pace will gradually build up as you cultivate your breath, focus, strength, stamina and flexibility that will enable you flow through this dynamic yoga practice with confidence, grace and ease.
This course is suitable for those with yoga experience and beginners also.
